Hi, I'm Vivian Pham!
Having always wanted to pursue a career in which should could help people, in 2013, Vivian graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and then went on to complete her Doctor of Physiotherapy at The University of Melbourne.
“Physiotherapy is an amazing career that allows me to fulfil my passion and allows me take an active approach in improving people’s quality of life. I am able to do this through education and by advocating for physical activity and exercise which I think is important in the long term for health and wellbeing.”
During her studies, she has gathered experience in diverse roles including tutoring and mentoring primary and high school students. She has experience working as a sports trainer for a NPLW team and has broad experience working in both the public and private settings.
Her favourite experience to date was working with post-stroke patients with their rehabilitation in a community setting at Western Health.
Vivian has a keen interest in musculoskeletal, paediatric and neurological cases, including strength and conditioning and spinal care.
“I love that physiotherapy applies an active approach to health and wellbeing. My job allows me to make connections with everyday people and work together with them to improve their quality of life. I believe that exercise and physical activity is important in the prevention of many modifiable diseases and I have the privilege to work within a profession that advocates for this. I love that I can be a part of someone else’s journey to improve their health and wellbeing and assist them in achieving their goals.”
Aside from all things physiotherapy, Vivian loves going to the gym as it enables her to relax and gives her a chance to put her knowledge into practice. With a large, extended family, her time away from work is often spent around loved ones or discovering new Vietnamese cooking recipes!
