Joyce graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Curtin University in 2012 and has since pursued extensive postgraduate training in areas including vestibular rehabilitation, the Bobath concept, neuro-Pilates, graded motor imagery, PD Warrior, spinal manual therapy, and dry needling. She brings a wealth of experience in geriatric and neurological physiotherapy, having worked across aged care and rehabilitation facilities, outpatient hospital settings and private practice, including home-based services.
Her clinical interests lie in the rehabilitation of individuals with acquired brain injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barré syndrome and vestibular conditions. Joyce also has a strong interest in falls prevention and balance retraining and enjoys incorporating Pilates into her care for people with neurological conditions.
Committed to ongoing professional development, Joyce completed a Graduate Diploma in Neurological Rehabilitation at Edith Cowan University in 2022. She is passionate about working collaboratively with clients, their families, and support networks, aiming to provide holistic and person-centred care.
Outside of work, Joyce enjoys hiking, playing tennis and social volleyball, and playing the piano—when she can “take a break” from parenting duties. She’s also a proud guinea pig mum to Queenie and Princess Diana.
