Occupational therapy is client-focused therapy and uses ongoing assessments and observations to help you determine what is important to you in life and identify any current issues that may be preventing you from truly engaging in what is meaningful and purposeful to you.
Our experienced occupational therapists work with a variety of individuals, families and communities to promote and enable participation and engagement in occupations of everyday life which include:
- Activities of daily living: self-care and dressing
- Household and community: home maintenance and shopping
- Social participation: interaction within social groups
- Leisure activities: hobbies
- Work: (paid or unpaid)
Occupational therapy is available through Life Ready Mobile, where our occupational therapists can assess and modify the home environment, prescribe assistive devices and technology and refer on to other health professionals and assistance organisations, if required.
