Hi, I'm Billy Young!
Billy grew up on the Mornington Peninsula, an area approximately 90mins south of Melbourne. He has always been heavily involved in both team sports and individual sports with a special interest in footy and surfing and naturally, this has led to a multitude of different injuries that helps Billy understand the physical and psychological challenges that come with pain and injury.
Graduating from Curtin University in 2018, Billy has worked exclusively in private practice. He has a focus on collaborative care and is a huge advocate for healthy habits and effective self-management.
“Seeing people reach their health goals and recovering from injury/pain is fantastic, but the most satisfying part of being a physiotherapist is when a patient is able to overcome their issues and knows that they were the driving force behind their success.”
Billy has experience in a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, with particular interests in sporting injuries and shoulder pain. With training in dry needling and clinical pilates, Billy blends both the manual and active approaches to treatment to ensure you get the best outcome possible.
Outside of work, keep an eye out for Billy cruising along on his little blue surfboard in the Scarborough waves!
