Sometimes things don’t go exactly to plan in the early years which is why our team is here to support your child’s development every step, shuffle or hop of the way.
Across our Life Ready Physio + Pilates locations, we offer gentle, evidence-based paediatric physiotherapy for babies, toddlers, children and teens aged 0 to 16 years. While some of our physiotherapists have undertaken additional training in paediatrics, all our physios are equipped to provide assessment, guidance and treatment for a wide range of movement concerns in children and if required, we’ll refer you to the most appropriate physiotherapist for some extra support.
When might my child need physiotherapy?
Every child grows in their own time, but if you’ve noticed something unusual about how your child moves, or if they’re struggling with physical milestones, paediatric physiotherapy may help.
We work alongside families to help babies, children and teens with:
A safe and supportive space
We know that unfamiliar places and people can be a bit daunting for little ones which is why our clinics and treatment rooms are designed to be calm, welcoming and child-friendly, with plenty of rehabilitation space to move, play and explore.
We are family-focused, so as a parent or caregiver, you’re included in every step of the journey. After all, you know your child best.
Need some help?
It’s never too early (or too late) to get a helping hand, so reach out to your local Life Ready Physio + Pilates team and chat to us about your child’s concerns.
1. Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed if you are paying for your child’s consultation in full (or claiming through your private health insurance). This means that you can book in directly with us and be seen at the earliest convenience. If you’re claiming through Medicare you will need a referral from your child’s GP, or you can claim through the NDIS once you have physiotherapy funding approved in an NDIS plan.
It’s always best to mention your child’s concerns to us when you make your booking so we can assign the most appropriate physiotherapist to help them. If more specialised support from a trained paediatric physiotherapist is needed, we’ll point you in the right direction
2. How much is a paediatric physiotherapy consultation?
Each of our clinics is a little different, and so are our people. We’re proud to have physiotherapists with a wide range of experience and special interests, which means pricing may vary slightly between locations. For the most accurate and up-to-date pricing, we recommend contacting your preferred Life Ready Physio + Pilates clinic directly.
If you have private health insurance, rebates may apply depending on your level of cover. We suggest checking with your health fund before your appointment. Alternatively, we can provide an on-the-spot quote in clinic using your private health card and HICAPS.
